I come from Võru, a small town in South Estonia. My film journey began in 2014 at the Baltic Film and Media School, where I studied Film Editing. In 2020, I completed an MA in Film Editing through the Kinoeyes program, studying in Lisbon and Edinburgh.

In the film world, my creative focus is editing, though I also bring extensive experience as an assistant director. While I thoroughly enjoy the momentum of set life, editing is where I feel most connected to the filmmaking process. It’s the space where I can go deeper and shape something that feels alive.

That focus has led to films recognised both in Estonia and internationally. In 2022, the short film Mia & Liki, won Best Short Film at the Estonian Film and TV Awards (EFTA), and I was nominated for Best Editing. The following year, I edited the experimental short Dear Passengers, which also won Best Short Film at EFTA in 2023.

I have worked with directors Anna Hints and Tushar Prakash on Sauna Day, which premiered at Cannes Critics' Week (Semaine de la Critique) in 2024. Another project I edited, Madli Lääne's hybrid documentary Song of Sleepless Nights, was selected for the 2025 Cannes Focus WiP. Most recently, I finished editing Rebeka Rummel’s short film Chasing the Light, which follows a crisis hotline volunteer Mati, who receives a call from a woman who draws him into a fantasy game. Their nightly calls turn into an eagerly awaited escape from everyday routine.
